Time Again!

Finally! After a week at camp, and a crazy past few days, I have time to update...

Worldview was absolutely amazing. There's no way I could even sum up my favorite lectures. I have soo many notes. In short, I would say that I liked the speakers more this year. They made everything highly entertaining, but very thought-provoking and sound at the same time. Great, great week. Made a lot of new friends.

Last night I had a funny experience involving mountain biking. Ben Schlottman and I decided to go mountain biking yesterday evening. We have some pretty intense trails near my house that I just found out about. We started out on those, and then started on the Expert trails...which were insane. Majorly steep slopes with huge huge rocks and tons of logs to bump over or jump over. The sign said it was 10ish miles. Right as the sun was setting, we came to a sign, which we figured was near the end of the trail. However, we soon found out that it was a halfway one. The ten mile distance was to the halfway point...not the end. Sooo we had to bike ten miles back through the woods in treacherous conditions by the light of the almost-full moon. It was rather entertaining. Would have stunk if there was no moon, though. We would have had to stay in the middle of the forest until morning. And yeah. We survived. Would have made for a funny story to get stranded in the woods.

Other invents include me ordering my camera! I'm excited. I ended up getting a package that comes with the Rebel XT body, a 28-88 lens (I already have a 40-150 that I can use, too), 3 filters, 2 tripods (short and tall), 2 batteries and a charger, a memory card, a memory card reader, a case, software, caps, neckstraps...etc. Got a great deal on it. I'm guessing it'll be here by Thursday. Hope so, cause I'll need time to learn to use it before the conference on Saturday...haha

My grandparents are coming up tomorrow. They'll be hanging out with up until Sunday I believe. Not a ton else on the horizon. Still researching Ireland and working on my study. Getting more excited by the day.

Hope you all have an amazing day.

Nate
